Textures

sometime you just feel that ur design lack of something. it's the texture!
back to the basic of design principles, line texture plane and pattern!

so i decided to add some texture to my background, the rationale behind me texture will be fiber, denim material. sometimes texture alone is not enough, i need a nature flow of color. usually i will overlay them together to create a visual harmony!

following are my research! ( so i googled, gettyimages )

(strong denim texture)

(some adjustment and DONE!)

all the actual size you should be able to view it better, i dont want the background to be too strong just alittle touch to gives a little feel will do.

Type of research

as much as possible i will want to do installation.
if not i will just have to come up with installation mockup, like what i did for P4.

again, if that's the case. i will have to recce the location.

to add on to my rationale, maybe i should to a general research on Singapore street culture and knowledge of brand ranging from age.

so should i go and find individual on the street and do a shoot ?? with a short interview abt fashion style.

another will be to research on styling of street style - texture, color etc. another out door shooting on the street ???

should i work on life style?? like how fashion are closely link with lifestyle. anyway i think this is what SKIN Couture is all about. its not about meeting individual needs, if that's the case they should just go to bugis street. SKIN is another level, its about fashion statement and lifestyle.

This is why SKIN Couture wants their customer to be posted with updated celebrities fashion, especially when they are wearing some labels that SKIN has.

So in conclusion, i know that SKIN is very influence in street culture, shaped by lifestyle, which carries a fashion statement to the public.

still i need research to backup the conclusion then parallel to my design elements.

color scheme

kuler.adobe.com provide a range of color scheme, ranging from mood and feel. it helps for those always unsure about color combination or lack of inspiration .

with the Kuler, i can come up with many color scheme in just a short time. well, some are nice some are just not so nice, however it's an exploration, explore the different that can create the different mood and feel of the entire website. It also act as a style guide to keep the website constant or the whole campaign ranging from print to premier etc.

So, with so many color scheme, but the thing is that, SKIN portrait a very strong sense of black and white, so in the end i might just end up in back white and red.

Yet, SKIN couture also have influence over street culture. it cant look too classy or minimal, it got to have some form of street style, yet able to contain the visual element of individual fashion label.

So i ended up with black and white with highlight of red color, to give a sense of street style, i used typography. maybe with some texture in the background also.
